Go to the source. It comes from conspiracy theory #154 of Captain Sludge. More disinformation from the Land of OZ.

For those of you who, like me, were amazed to learn that the US Navy
ships can be left dead in the water when their Windows NT control
systems crash, and have a quiet chuckle when their next flight departs
at either "Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to log on" or "A General Protection
Fault has occurred", you will no doubt be in stitches to learn that the
most powerful nation in the world elects its government using Windows
CE, Microsoft Access and Dell servers. Oh and a little bit of fiddling
by the all-Republican board of directors of Diebold, who make the voting
hardware. Surely not?

The various operating software of the voting hardware has been posted on
the internet, for you hackers to examine for bugs and insecurities (rich
pickings no doubt).

It's a laugh really.

Sheesh. You Mexicans are all the same - no idea about geography.
Or maybe it's the NZ / OZ confusion - after all, they both end in Z.

Don't know your history, do you? Or your fairy tales either.

I know *my* history - which particular history am I lacking in this
context? There are literally billions of histories I know nothing about.

And which fairy tales? You may be aware of a book by L Frank Baum called
"The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", which isn't a fairy tale, it's a novel.
A political satire quite pertinent to the current political situation in
the US, but as a reference to rigged voting maybe a little obscure.

Perhaps you're referring to Dorothy's red shoes?

Its all about the bimetallic dollar. Marcus Hanna, and Eastern financier, was the "Wizard
of the Gold Ounce"

"You shall not press down upon the brow of labor this crown of thorns, you shall not
crucify mankind upon a cross of gold."

Back in the 70's the ship I was on spent three days guarding a Destroyer
Escort that had gone dead in the water and was drifting about in the Med.
Towards the end of the first day big smoke columns appeared on the horizon.
It was three Soviet Osa class gunboats that surrounded us. The next two days
were spent watching our whaleboat weave in and out of the gunboats, the
gunboats trying to run over the whaleboat, deck guns moving about, M14's
pointed all over the place, in all a real good time.
The ship got going on its own and about one month later was intentionally
rammed by a Soviet sub. Ah, the good old daze!

Most unlikely -the intentional bit.

Her slippers were silver in the book, not ruby.

Here's an account of the incident with photos of the collision taking place.
I was on the Moinester.

Do you still think it was unintentional?

That's because you assume the mind of a Commie operates like the mind of a rational person. It doesn't. Did you ever see a Communist drink water? The skipper of that sub was drinking vodka. That's the way your hard core Commie works MC.
My ever vigilant fight against Communism has spanned four decades. While America celebrated its bicentennial with fireworks, bbq and beer I was fighting Communisn toe to toe with the Soviets. People like back to July 4, 1976 and they'll remember indigestion from rancid potato(e) salad. I like book and remember having a Kira Class cruiser in my sights. Which is more American? Fortunately, Americans overcame their indigestion and elected Ronald Reagan in the next election. He singlehandedly defeated the Evil Empire, fired an entire labor union, turned the largest economy in the world around, whipped terrorism at its root, and had time left over to chop wood. Reagan knew how to take a bullet too. There is a man! Contrast that with the current man in office.
I now fight Communism within these United States. There is much to do and I remain ever vigilant. Someday I'll tell you about the cabbage I flung into a MIG intake as it buzzed the ship.

I can't imagine any reason to risk your sub like that. Note that:

"My Soviet friends told me the skipper of the Echo was drunk."
