Some people are less susceptible to the damaging effects than
others. Everyone has some damage from exposure to the sun. "Capt. Mooron" wrote in message ... Bob... that's just plain misleading.... cancer is something not as cut and dried as you make it seem. Some types of skin are prone to burns, some types [olive for instance] are prone to tan. You can no more make a blanket condemnation that exposure will result in cancer than stating having a boat makes one a sailor. There are some people who will never get cancer no matter how long they stay in the sun.... some will get cancer with mild exposure. Just like some people smoke all their lives and never suffer lung cancer. Your statement is based on speculation, fear and fashionable attitude... not facts. CM "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... | Regular and reasonable exposure to the sun will keep | the pigment in place. | | According to every medical source, regular exposure to the sun results in skin | that loses elasticity and a higher risk for skin cancer. | My best friend's father was a geological surveyor, tanned from years of working | on sites most of his life. His "regular exposure" resulted in a long battle | with skin cancer. | Only a fool takes the sun lightly. Wear protection and you'll live longer and | look better! | | RB |
