The Shadow and Eclipse are fine boats. I still preffer my NDK and
Capella but I paddled an Eclipse in a 20 knot breaze a month ago
without using the rudder and it was just fine.
The wind works on it more than it does on my boats but it is built for
a larger paddler.

You have a fine boat and there are brilliant people on this group. Not
all enjoy the same opinions, it would be boring if we did.

I understand ;-) I've been on other groups
I qualify for larger and older. I'm 6ft 2 and 195lbs and pushing 70yrs.
It keeps me fit, on the water, but I had to get used too its width 25'.25".
I kayaked a shortwehile a beamy one, nearly 29". Especially in high wind
(35km)and waves I had to retrain my brain to balance the boat right. I think
I got it under control now.

I'd never heard of this 303 stuff. Is this for real? some
'protectants' do more harm than good. Glass boats are damned expensive,
so if this stuff really works, it would be worth it.

Any views?

Don't use wax. It interferes with the 303, which you _should_ be using.

303 works and does not harm the boat. There is one caveat. You will not be
able to repaire the area where the 303 has been applied untill it has
completely worn off.
