I rarely drive long distances in a car...as, for example, from Maryland to Florida. I have better things to do with my time than waste two days on the interstate. Ah, but with a BMW you could make that trip in about 16 hours. Eisboch I've made it in 12. Bull****. DC to Jacksonville is about 700 miles. You could probably do that in 12 hours without breaking the speed limit. From where I live in Maryland to the Florida line is about 12 hours if we are not nailed by heavy traffic or construction on I-95. We don't do that anymore, though. We usually stop in the Carolinas somewhere. It's a dismal drive no matter how you do it, though. One of the major bottlenecks is south of NYC. It can take hours to go a few miles there at times.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - If you were in Maryland, you'd go to NYC to get to the Florida line????? Try and keep up. I realize you have a big defict, but at least give it a try.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Let me see. Harry was talking about going from Maryland to the Florida border. I was talking about going from Jax to western NY. YOU were talking about going from Washington D.C. to Florida. Then Harry talks again about going from Maryland to Florida, then YOU insert something about NYC......... Oh, and thanks for acknowledging my big "defict".......I take it that's a local term up there. |
