Mabey your govt needs more oversight over captains that can't drive... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did you miss the part where the manafacturers rep was aboard? I imagine fingers will be pointing back & forth. a 28' fireboat? The navy has a couple here....... not sure why the fire dept decided they needed one now, after 259 years without one. http://www.thechronicleherald.ca/Metro/1079540.html I would hope a couple of naval architects would comment on the reasons for the tipover. As soon as I saw a stern shot of the boat, I had a suspicion about the cause. |

Seems there is only one other Firehawk 28 in operation...in a place called Vinyard, South Carolina. They only let three people on + 2 more while training. Bottom line...with a minimum crew, there had better not be too many victims waiting to be rescued by this boat. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia...efighters.html |

Montreal has ordered three of the Rosborough 'Hammer Head' style fireboats manufactured right here in Halifax. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia...eboat-tsb.html http://www.rosboroughboats.com/professional.html |
