What's pathetic is getting the same color paint at the same store with the same mixing machine at the same time. Not one of the three gallons was the same color. That's pathetic. Put all three cans in a five gallon bucket. Stir the **** out of them. Then pour them back into the gallon cans. They'll all be the same color. Unlike a weighted matrix, that's a weighted color. Yeah, but it won't be the color I want. :) I wanted a light brown leaning towards purple - hard to describe, but the paint chip said it's was Loganberry. Never seen a Loganberry so I wouldn't know if it was a true color or not - I liked it though. One came out brown, one came out a red brown and the last one was the color I wanted. What I noticed when I opened the cans was that they mixed them with different base white which I think it what caused the color to differentiate. Same paint/primer, but different white bases. Which turned out to be the correct guess because when I took them back and showed them to the Sherman Williams sales guy, he took the cans, disappeared and returned about ten minutes with all new cans of paint with the same base paint. :) |
