You might be surprised to learn just how easy it is to single hand a
GB49. I've done it a number of times. The weight and full length
keel really help it to stay put when you park it in a breeze.

There's a GB49 for sale locally up here in beautiful shape, but after having
the Navigator, I want to downsize.
I am really the only one in the family that has serious boating interest.
The family and friends like to visit once in a while or go for an
afternoon's boat ride, but are otherwise busy with their lives, interests
and hobbies.

GB's are highly desirable, but as with all boats, condition and maintenance
is critical in terms of resale. I was talking to a broker yesterday who has
had a GB49 listed since 2004 without a single offer despite several price
reductions. Apparently the owners have neglected it for years and now have
a serious problem. They are starting to consider the donation route.

There's also a couple of GB36's with twins that have recently come on the
market. Both are not anywhere near as well maintained and equipped as the
one we have now, so they show with a little bit of disappointment for us.
If our GB36 had twins, we would not even consider selling it.

Besides, I like to "shake things up" once in a while. Try new things.
