Ok. Here's a couple of pics of the boat I am zeroing in on.
It meets my particular requirements: 1. Small enough (34') to easily single-hand. 2. Twin Cummins diesels 3. Two modes of operation .... hull speed mode (10 kts) burning about 5 gph combined and "fast trawler" mode (16-18 kts) burning 9-10 gph. WOT of about 20-22 kts. 4. Traditional boat design (not a bubble boat) 5. Has a real cockpit. 6. Galley, head, one master stateroom with queen sized bed. 7. Air conditioning. That's all I need. Reported to be in "very good" condition, but that remains to be seen. I am going down next week to look it over. http://www.eisboch.com/newboat1.jpg http://www.eisboch.com/newboat2.jpg Eisboch |

No way does he share my berth. He burps and farts in his sleep. Sam is not exactly cultured or refined. Eisboch |

I had a 31 Silverton with 318s that looked similar. I liked it a lot. Is
that a Mainship by any chance? "Eisboch" wrote in message ... Ok. Here's a couple of pics of the boat I am zeroing in on. It meets my particular requirements: 1. There's a GB49 for sale locally up here in beautiful shape, but after having the Navigator, I want to downsize. I am really the only one in the family that has serious boating interest. The family and friends like to visit once in a while or go for an afternoon's boat ride, but are otherwise busy with their lives, interests and hobbies. GB's are highly desirable, but as with all boats, condition and maintenance is critical in terms of resale. I was talking to a broker yesterday who has had a GB49 listed since 2004 without a single offer despite several price reductions. Apparently the owners have neglected it for years and now have a serious problem. They are starting to consider the donation route. There's also a couple of GB36's with twins that have recently come on the market. Both are not anywhere near as well maintained and equipped as the one we have now, so they show with a little bit of disappointment for us. If our GB36 had twins, we would not even consider selling it. Besides, I like to "shake things up" once in a while. Try new things. Eisboch |

They traded their old boat in for a brand new Sabreline. Good looking boat and fast for a semi-trawler style. The one I am looking at is much older, but similar. No more new boats for me. Eisboch |
