I have to admit, that slow as it is and old as it is, I had a lot of fun last summer on the GB. Mechanically it is fundamentally very sound and it has quite a few "updates" to bring it up to snuff. It literally looks like a model. But even still, it had a lot of woodwork, teak decks, etc. and it kept me busy for the summer. Plus, it has a full fuel tank that would probably last me for a couple of years of local boat trips at the rate it sips fuel. I think you'll miss the GB if you sell it. They have a certain warmth and charm totally missing in other boats. Besides, where will you and Sam Adams go to hide out? I think we have close to the ideal combination with the GB49 for serious cruising and a fast runabout for just riding around or fishing. |
