It was 40+ years ago - a whole different lifetime. I'm not defending Harry, but get a freakin' life. Nobody cares anymore. I got out of the service almost 20 years ago. Yet Harry receives no flak for his derogatory comments about same, whether mine or anyone else's. Because it doesn't matter what Harry thinks. It's as simple as that. You served honorably, went above and beyond the call making it a career and rose to Staff command level. Why should you care what he thinks? He can make all the idiotic comments he wants - he has no clue what you had to sacrifice or the effort made to achieve your Staff level rank. The only way that achievement can be taken away from you is for you to take it away from yourself. If you react to his taunts, then he wins and you look foolish. I was just a grunt - dumbass Marine, but I would think that an officer and a gentleman would understand when he's being played and just ignore it. Then again, maybe not. Share the wealth, Tom.
