I don't believe that you opted out for religious or humanitarian reasons. Otherwise you might have sought conciensous objector status. You say you are as healthy as a horses ass, so that rules out medical status. Mentally impaired. That's a possibility. But you did obtain permission to carry concealed weapons, so we'll have to rule that reason out too. And we can, I think, rule out convicted felon because of the weapons permit. So then what in your history would cause the draft board to graciously drop you from their list. Lots of people who were eligible in the Viet Nam era had high draft lottery numbers and simply weren't called up. DUH! If that were the case, wouldn't he have said so? Harry asserts that his name was "removed from the list". Not that I am a fan of harry's, but I don't see why Harry owes you or anybody else an explanation. Right you are. |
