My theory is that the Pats fell victim to their own press, and possibly didn't realize until too late in the game that they wouldn't be able to sleep walk through four quarters and automatically go home with the title. I adamantly disagree. The Patriots were damn lucky to win against the Giants in the regular season game and they knew EXACTLY what they were up against. Last night the Giants simply executed better and had a better game plan. Example- last couple of minutes of the game. 4-5 Pats have hold of some part or another of Eli Manning. It looks like lights out for the Giants. Suddenly Manning (not a great big guy by NFL standards) just simply wiggles free and can complete a play for a decent gain. Reminded me of his Daddy ;-) Archie did exactly that on almost every down of his career with the Saints lol! Rick |
