Spending that Economy Booster
If you're going to get one of those spiffy economy boosting checks from
the feds, what will you do with the proceeds? (a) pay off consumer debt (the smart thing to do) (b) buy food (c) buy gasoline (d) buy some more goods made in China (e) have a fun evening with wine, women and song |

If the US govt has money to throw around, I'd say either apply it to the expense of the Iraq expedition...or give it directly to the troops in harms way. |

It would be money the treasury borrows from China. |

I haven't heard the details of how much this would mean to each taxpayer.... but I'm sure the majority of posters here could easily 'get by' without it. We have Bert bragging about how much he makes... do you think the govt should borrow to give him a nice litle Valentine gift? Me, on the other hand, as an underpriviledged Maritime pensioner could use any and all gifts from big brother. |
