That would be the last thing I would think of doing.

As I have stated from the getgo....... the laptop is not mine but my son's
and he has not experienced any problems with it.

As I said, a laptop running WinXP will run twice as fast as the same
laptop running Vista. I have no problems if that is what you like, but
don't fool yourself into thinking you don't take a big hit when you use
Vista.
