Yoiu know what's funny about this?

It doesn't do any good because the bullets disintegrate when they
enter the water.

The only thing it might do is stun the fish with the shock wave, but
that's iffy believe it or not.

It's even funnier when the bullets ricochet off the water and kill the
rednecks firing them.

I shot a fish in a lake in Florida many years ago. The bullet went through
it's head. Killed it deader'n hell. It was only a few inches under the
surface though.

I had something similar happen to me once.

I used to go to Michigan's UP every year for a ice fishing trip at a
friend's lodge. His place was way up on the Keweenaw Peninsula near
Copper Harbor.

Anyway, one trip we took along some black powder pistols for some
reason I can't remember. As the morning went on, nothing was
happening on the fish front, so we decided to shoot something - that
something being the ice sheet.

First shot and all of a sudden the lead ball went whizzing past our
heads. Turns out when you shoot ice, the ball creates steam pressure
ahead of the ball as it goes down the ice hole and shoots itself back
out at the same angle.

It was one of those "Hey - Watch This!!" moments. :)

I'd pay good money to see that.

Seeing a Myth Busters item on shooting in the water. Depended on the bullet
and caliber if it disintegrated.

I'd guess I used about a 30-06 or 30.30. Those were popular calibers then.
It sure wasn't one of them 'black rifles'.
