The only thing it might do is stun the fish with the shock wave, but
that's iffy believe it or not.

and caliber if it disintegrated.



The high caliber and higher speed bullets disintegrated.

I'd guess I used about a 30-06 or 30.30. Those were popular calibers then.
It sure wasn't one of them 'black rifles'.
