If it was truly smithers that put this in, and you can show me that, I
will start using a kill file. But Harry, I tend to doubt your cred and
ability to prove that accusation. I don't think any of the regulars
here would post something like that, I warn you folks, don't even look
out of curiosity, it just is not worth it...

What you do is up to you.

Since you are so smart about computers, why don't you show him how it
was I that posted that link. It is very easy for anyone to trace the
originator of that post. In fact, someone really should report that to
the originators ISP. I would assume most ISP would cancel the
originators service due to a violation of their TOS.

You sure spend a lot of time reviewing the kill filters. You probably
spend more time reading your kill filters than most people spend reading
rec.boats.

I have used filters a few times, and to be honest with you, I set them
up one time, and never looked at them again. It should not matter what
name or email address they use. You on the other hand just love to
look at talk about them.

What you do is up to you.

I run two different sorts of filters, one within my new client that
catches variations on email addresses, and the other that catches
certain numerical data and email addresses. Thus, it is fairly easy to
dump the crap certain posters here dump without ever seeing them, unless
their trash is reposted in someone else's post.

In the last week or so, your boys Reggie and Herringbrain have used
these email variations, according to the newsgroup client filter:

[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
ReggieHasLeftTheBuilding@here.

"Reggie is
"Reggie is Here

How hard is it to setup a filter for "herring" or "Reggie" in the from
address or reply-to address?

Just, I can promise you that was not me. Harry has been making

Credibility is not one of Harry's strong suits.

Harry very rarely tells the truth, so he assumes others do the same. I
have never lied in rec.boats, and Harry has a hard time accepting that.

That's our Harry! He loves to think that he's so important here that
someone would go to great lengths to get through his super duper ain't
none better filter.

Harry's ego wouldn't let him filter anyone.

Even Harry should understand how to set it up using Reginald P. Smithers
III. I don't think there are many of them in the NG.
