In my opinion, and this isn't scientific economic analysis by any stretch, we are shifting back to a more conservative economic approach to spending on a consumer level - perhaps a more thrifty approach to how we approach spending would be a better way to say it. Increasing equity in homes, a more realistic approach to expectations - that kind of thing. Unbridled consumerism has seen it's day - I think. |
