I don't consider her speech unusually "stiff", but then again we have been married for almost ever and she seems perfectly natural to me. |

I just believe she is more conversational than your quotes indicate. Betcha I am right. |

Howzabout rewriting the dialogue the way you think it should sound and let us see it? Not exactly on topic but it might be a fun mid-winter excercise for all concerned. |
