The marina here in Scituate hosted a dock party Sunday with burgers, hot
dogs and the fixin's provided by their associated restaurant. A couple of the charter boat captains left early in the morning and returned on time at noon with freshly caught yellowfin tuna that were immediately cleaned, filleted, and thrown on the grill. It doesn't get any fresher than that and was absolutely delicious. Eisboch |

Never done it, but someday. Maybe the same day I get my Porsche 911 Carrera. Get the Twin Turbo. Eisboch |

That would lead to a public hanging in Charleston....complete with pirate costumes and our resident Davy Jones from over at Ripley Light Marina across the river. Dock parties, here, are spelled: BLUE CRABS - FRESH OYSTERS - SHRIMP - FISH (Grouper/Snapper/etc.) It's amazing how much cooking equipment appears when you bring 4 burlap sacks full of Oysters and 4 bushels of insanely mad crabs down the dock...(c; What about beverages? Anyone have a TailGator to make girlie drinks? http://www.tailgatorzone.com/ You can't make proper dock drinks without the blender smelling like an old Evinrude...(c; I bring the Buffett, Gully Roosters, Carolina Beach Music, etc., on the DJ machine. At red hill state park, someone scribed on the inside walls of one of the old wooden outhouses these prose of wisdom: "Doesn't matter if you stand on the floor, or sit on the seat. The crabs in here can jump 10 feet...." they were right. |
