It doesn't get any fresher than that and was absolutely delicious.

There's no greater tuna than fresh tuna.

I was telling the wife last week that I'd love to catch a tuna, clean it,
and have some for dinner the same day. Never done it, but someday. Maybe
the same day I get my Porsche 911 Carrera.

I did it once... about 6 years ago. Fabulous!

Get to San Diego and for less than $200 you can go for tuna. Mostly
Albacore, but decent chance at smaller Bluefin and Yellowfin tuna.

The time I did it was out of Santa Cruz. We had to go out about 30 miles,
but the wx was gorgeous, and we all caught albacore.

Friends been loading up the last couple of weeks out of Halfmoon bay and
Monterey. I would go but the fish are about 40 miles from the harbor and my
boat only does about 120 miles on a tank. Just not enough cushion if the
weather turns nasty. Off to Denver this weekend for a cousins family get
together.

Tuna are migratory and can be elusive. Four years ago when I had a fishing
boat it was a really big deal if anybody came in with a yellowfin tuna in
Cape Cod Bay. They usually started showing up around the middle of August.

This year tuna were plentiful in the Bay in June and have remained all
summer. The charter guys and most recreational guys with the right gear
have very rarely been skunked on any outing.

Apparently, there's bluefin as well on the south side of the Cape out beyond
the Vineyard.

Where, Mike? Tell us about it. (You'e talking about the tuna experience,
right?) Or did you buy a Carrera six years ago?

Don't know if I could talk the wife into all that.
