At red hill state park, someone scribed on the inside walls of one of the old wooden outhouses these prose of wisdom: "Doesn't matter if you stand on the floor, or sit on the seat. The crabs in here can jump 10 feet...." they were right. Everybody stay away from Tim's boat for a while.... Larry -- Search youtube for "Depleted Uranium" The ultimate dirty bomb...... |

Mostly Albacore, but decent chance at smaller Bluefin and Yellowfin tuna. Tuna are migratory and can be elusive. Four years ago when I had a fishing boat it was a really big deal if anybody came in with a yellowfin tuna in Cape Cod Bay. They usually started showing up around the middle of August. This year tuna were plentiful in the Bay in June and have remained all summer. The charter guys and most recreational guys with the right gear have very rarely been skunked on any outing. Apparently, there's bluefin as well on the south side of the Cape out beyond the Vineyard. Eisboch We always have a run off the West Coast. Just some years the window is very small where they are close enough for the private boats to run for them. Off Oregon, they come in closer due to the current flows. |

A couple of the charter boat captains left early in the morning and returned on time at noon with freshly caught yellowfin tuna that were immediately cleaned, filleted, and thrown on the grill. It doesn't get any fresher than that and was absolutely delicious. Eisboch I was telling the wife last week that I'd love to catch a tuna, clean it, and have some for dinner the same day. Lots of things for her to do and buy while you catch fish. |

Are the locals in SD as weird as the rest of California's population? Eisboch |

Much of California square mile wise is red state territory. |

Are the locals in SD as weird as the rest of California's population? Eisboch I used to visit SD a lot to work with some Army Reserve units down there. I always enjoyed going there, and would do so about once a month, sometimes more. The weather was great, the people I worked with were great (all locals), and the air was clear, unlike LA where I was stationed. This was back in the late '70s, so things may have changed a lot. If the illegal alien problem is as bad there as it is here (in the DC area), then it may be less enjoyable. |

Harder workers than most. We just need a guest worker program for the less educated. We have one now to keep down salaries in the high tech world, H-1 visa program. |

We had a guest worker program for 20 years, the Bracero Program. Just bring it back. We then get control of the problem. They are going to come here for work, so let us control it. |
