Save yourself the time and what little energy it takes, and don't offer me any. Try this, Krause: Don't respond! Here's yet another of the many daily attacks from "Dan", a frequent rec.boats poster, and if you count them up, you will see how little he adds here in boating/fishing content or interesting reading. |

You might want to check the Terms of Service (TOS) for your internet service provider. Knee jerk auto responses might be construed as a violation depending on the TOS language and who is interpreting it. |

Are you offering me advice or are you sticking up for the kinds of posts Dan puts up here? |

Harry Krause, I think he is saying that your auto response is silly and might be construed as a violation of your TOS, but I could be wrong. |

Just my 2 cents worth: Why not just stick to a well worded flame once in awhile if you must? Right now you're all sounding like Bertie the Bunyip. Remeber him? http://groups.google.com/groups/sear...ip&qt_s=Search |

Remeber him? http://groups.google.com/groups/sear...ip&qt_s=Search I suggest you spend a day doing something worthwhile and count up the "number of insults" Herring or Dan or Reggie toss, compared to the number I toss, or, even better, the division between "insults" and content-based posts of your favorite participants. |

Harry, I have to correct you on this, I don't think I have ever insulted you are called you names. |

As a compatriot of some of the past Usenet greats, Gharlane of Eddore, Deacon, James Boe (once Usenet's #1 on the Usenet's Top Ten Most Wanted) and a participant in alt.fan.tom-servo flame fests, this bunch is pretty sad in the flame department. :) Someday, when I get around to it - assuming that I even want to get around to it, I plan on writing the definitive history of Usenet and some of the all time flame war greats. Sadly, I will have to have somebody else write my chapter. :) Ah - those were the days. |
