The wife has decided. The Triumph is out of the question now.
She and I
both liked the Scout better. We'll be moving to NC in about a
year and a
half, and this looks to be easily towable to various lakes and
the ocean.
Any comments?

The transom isn't open, but I'm hoping it will be pretty safe
anyway.
Nice boat. I like the proud sweep in the bow. I see a lot of boats
in
that size and configuration/function that would look so much nicer
with a little sweep like that in the bow. The last 20 footer I
lofted
out had a nice sweep like that..... Oh, and a motor well with the
18
inch bracket, 2 1/2 feet forward of the transom
I just really liked the looks of the Scout. And, I loved the way it
road.
We were only on the Potomac River, which was flat, but the boat
handled
nicely.

If the wife is thinking of grandkids visiting on the boat. 18' is
too small. I have a 21' and figure it is good for only 6 people
comfortably.

Also..........no privacy area for a porta potty. I doubt his wife
will be joining him on the boat.

I do not carry a porta potty on the boat. Bucket works well.
I guess I have more consideration for my wife than to tell her to sit
on a bucket in the open to do her business.
What do you do when you go camping, in the woods without the RV or the
cabin and without an outhouse? When in the woods everyone poops like the
bears. When on the water everyone poops like whales.

Really? Not me.

And if you need #2. head to shore.
Not always possible or practical. I do not expect to tell folks on my
boat.........tough luck, just crap in your pants.
Hang your ass over the side and ask everyone to look the other way.

You again defined yourself. What a joy it must be to boat with you.

You are sounding like a prissy bitch. I guess you don't **** on trees in
the woods either.

I am talking about my wife and guests.

Regardless, based on your comments you are at the same hygiene level as a
monkey.

How is your son doing? Getting any letters from him?

Just the initial one telling us his company, batallion and platoon. Thanks
for asking. We are looking forward to hearing from him. We write to him
everyday.

He should be past the forming stage and into real training now. Don't be
suprised if you only get one or two letters from him the entire time he
is on the island.
