If you feel so strongly about this issue then why don't you set up a

those that don't have the money for health care or health care insurance.
Or better yet, why don't you spend your own money to pay for some one

Everyone also has the opportunity to purchase an 80 foot yacht.

Yeah, really? No one even commented. I thought I would hold off, but
geeze. Anyway, I like the lines of the hull on many of their smaller
boats like the 14 and 17's. My only comment is how big it is and how
difficult it might be to single launch and such, Do you boat in open
or protected water, if protected, I might even go a couple feet
smaller. If open water, get a good skid protector on the keel, and
some good bumpers.

I fooled with one in the water at the marina where I tried it out. It's
about the biggest I could get and still have good trailerability. It
doesn't require a tandem axle, and is small enough not to require trailer
brakes. I've been able to launch and retrieve my 21'er with no major
problems, so the 18'er should be a snap.

Once we move to NC, we'll be in mostly lakes, with an occasional trip to
the beach. I don't envision going out beyond sight of land. I may hit the
Chesapeake Bay bridge/tunnel area.

Good point. That in-between size can be awkward.
If a person always has at least one able crew along...no problem. If not,
I'd be tempted to either go a bit bigger and keep the boat at a
mooring/slip, or go smaller to something easily handled by one person. As
you say, a lot depends on where you boat and the conditions you're brave or
foolish enough to venture out in.

Good points. Having had the experience with the 21'er is what prompted me
to go for a boat that is much easier to trailer and launch/retrieve. Most
of the time, if fishing or playing, I'd have fishing buddies or the wife
along. My wife is great at helping with launching and retrieval. She's had
lot's of practice!

Jeez...I used to launch and retrieve the original Yo Ho alone once in a
while. This was a boat 25' long, plus another seven feet for the pulpit
and outboard bracket. Close to 7000 pounds with fuel. On and off a bunk
trailer. I could launch a 21-footer blindfolded.

Guess I'm think of my 19 foot sailboat....requiring mast raising, rigging
etc and the shallow launch ramps we have here. Our floating docks are
usually out of easy reach to float off & on by holding the bow & stern
lines.

My 21'er was a handful for one person, especially if the launch ramp had no
dock alongside. Luckily, Breezy Point, where Harry kept the YO HO, had a
dock alongside the ramp, making launching and retrieval pretty easy.

She's just fine. We got back from the TCU a few minutes ago after spending a
couple hours with her.
Took here down from the 4th floor to the main floor cafeteria for a coffee
and gab. When we took her back up to the 4th floor my sister was waiting.
The other old ladies weren't sure where we had gone.
I probably won't get in tomorrow as my #2 sister has invited us to their

Everyone in the US does have the opportunity to buy it. That is a fact.

Why they may opt out is another factor.

There are 4 main reasons why they would decline:

1. It is not within the budget considering more important expenses such as
shelter, food and clothing.
2. It is within the budget but the money is spent on a more extravagant
life style.
3. It is within the budget but who needs it........I am young and
invincible.
4. It is within my budget but based on my income I can self insure and
obsorb any an all costs.

When looking at the number of uninsured.............give me a breakdown of
those 4 categories. Links to factual data are required.

Class dismissed until Monday.

The aft 'seats' are just cushions snapped to covers. On the port side is a
live well, and on the starboard the battery. When the covers are removed,
as I would do for fishing, the covers become good bait/lure stations.

You're right that the wife wanted more than a bare bones fishing boat.
Luckily, the amenities on this boat are either removable or useful. The
extra half foot beam doesn't bother me either.

But, I'll drag the wife up to TriState tomorrow or the next day and see
what the small Grady looks like.

If you feel so strongly about this issue then why don't you set up a
foundation to pay for the health care or health care insurance costs
of those that don't have the money for health care or health care
insurance. Or better yet, why don't you spend your own money to pay
for some one else's health care insurance. Be the example!
Everyone also has the opportunity to purchase an 80 foot yacht.
Tell me what the least expensive family health insurance plan costs in
Rochester NY. At least take a guess.
And don't forget, everyone has the opportunity to buy a Lear Jet.
You make choices every day. Buy the Lear Jet or buy something else. It
is all about the choices you make.

And we do wish people would take their political trash somewhere else.

As for choices, what do you think...

I have some socialist leanings ( I believe in social security, and that
everyone should be able to afford health care). But the folks causing
the downfall of this great country are the fascists in this

John, I'm really not sure if I like that model or not. Grady doesn't
make bad stuff, but I've never seen a sport fish bubble boat. I like
their walk around, but it really doesn't seem to me like it fits
either class well. Like my views of a Ford Ranchero, or a Chevy El
Camino. They both were cool, but they weren't a good car, and they
wern't a good truck. To me, that mode Grady, doesn't look like a good
fisher, nor a cruiser...

Of course, I'm no authority on them, and have never seen one
personally, but .... YMMV

Good point. That in-between size can be awkward.
If a person always has at least one able crew along...no problem. If
not, I'd be tempted to either go a bit bigger and keep the boat at a
mooring/slip, or go smaller to something easily handled by one person. As
you say, a lot depends on where you boat and the conditions you're brave
or foolish enough to venture out in.

I don't really have a problem with either my 18' Chris, or my 23'
Marquis. My lakes do have launch docks with good bumper railing. I
dont' drive up onto the trailer, because the boat always settles in
lpsided because of the additional weight on the helm side, so I get it
all centered pull the craft forward, hook and crank. works ok, just
have to take a bit of time, but not bad.

I believe there is not enough room behind the helm. The two seats take
up valuable fishing space on a boat of that size. This looks like a
compromise between what the wife wants and what the fisherman wants.

I would rather purchase a http://www.gradywhite.com/180/
Huh? Your complaint was the amount of room behind the helm for fishing.
The Grady actually appears to have less.

Personally I don't care for either.

I want a boat that can be used for fishing or some daytime cruising, with
a cuddy area. As our runabout has been promised to our son this is
hopefully our next boat: http://www.gradywhite.com/232/

I guess I forgot - which asshole is "BAR"?

I guess any of the nameless aholes here. Based on his lack of knowledge of
boats I would guess Reggie, the man of 1,000 aliases.

In your mind, but if I really am BAR, why don't you show how we both
have the same IP, or report me to my ISP for forging my IP.
