the 429/460 has valve covers about twice as wide as these and more than 4

The chryslers usually have a slant to the distributor. Maybe it's the 429/460 ford block? 28 ft is big enough that it could be some sort of big block. There is probably some casting numbers on the intake and heads that might lead somewhere. One thing is for sure, don't expect those old log exhaust manifolds to be any good. |
