i tried to start my boat today and all i heard was a click....tried shorting
the solenoid, but that didn't work...now not even a click...checked fuses under dash, they were ok....is there a fuse somewhere else that may have blown.....thanks |

It's possible, but not likely. The first thing you need to do is check your
battery's condition and state of charge. Then you can check your wiring for proper connections. What he said...and check for corroded battery terminal posts/connectors.

it is a 1998 glastron with a volvo penta 135hp engine...thanks to all for the
advice...i did see corrosion on the hot wire to the solennoid, but i gave the batteryy a full charge b4 i started....will let you know how cleaning the connections works.....i kind of feel like it may be starter because it was under water last year....forgot plug...never again though....thanks again... If you get too much water around your engine the best thing you can do is to
get it started and run it till it's good and hot. Preferably for a hour or so.
