Been to Home Depot lately? Most of the
important signs are in English and Spanish. Makes sense, as a lot of
the casual labor likely sent to HD to pick up a load of 2x4's or sheet
rock may be more comfortable doing business in Spanish than in
English.

Your true colors came out in that single paragraph. Despite your liberal
preaching's you are obviously nothing more than a racist and a bigot
Chuck.
Shame on you.

Been to Home Depot or spent any time around a construction site
lately?
Many of the workers are more comfortable speaking Spanish.

==================

What percentage of folks living in Seattle speak Spanish as their primary
language? It must be pretty high with all those Mexicans working as
gofers for construction jobs and speaking Spanish in the Home Depots
around you. Eh?

Spin it any way you want........you are a bigot.

Never mind........I found it.

Hispanic's/Latino's are a whole 5% of Seattle's population. Damn.......they
must spend their entire days walking through your Home Depot's and speaking
Spanish. ;-)

JimH,

He is not a bigot, but you do have a severe reading comprehension
problem and it seems you are a "closet bigot". Go back and reread his
statement, he never said "most", he said "a lot" (which means the same
thing as "many").

It appears that you are the bigot and got scared when he said "a lot".
The truth of the matter, in most metropolitan areas Mexicans make up a
large percent of the construction labor, both skilled and unskilled.

So tell us why you feel so scared of Mexicans/Hispanics that you are
freaking out this way. I personally use two Hispanics from Nicaragua to
help me do yard work on my mothers mini farm, I find them very hard
working and a pleasure to work with. One speaks English, the other guy
can understand some English, but strictly speaks Spanish.

You really should get to know some and stop jumping around looking like
Chicken Little.

No, but I am planning to redo four kitchens and five bathrooms before
fall so stay tuned. Posting the photos of such projects is apparently
consistent with the theme of a boating NG and will be of interest to
all. :-)

I can just see you running a table saw.
If I were contracting this job out, I wouldn't have said a peep.
I'm also planning to do a patio this summer, masonry, of course. Will
post progress photos...
Please enlighten us, Harry. Of what use was a table saw in the installation
of prefabricated cabinets?

Today's your lucky day, crap-for-brains, because I had to tear down my
desktop machine for a few days and am using my laptop, and I dumped the
filters on that machine a few months ago while experimenting. Obviously,
I need to set them up on the laptop so as to filter out you and the
rest of the newsgroup scumsuckers.

Let's see...table saw: end panels that need to be cut down to size. Trim
pieces that need to be cut down to size. Countertop support pieces that
need to be cut to the right lengths. Filler pieces that need to be
trimmed down to the right width. Custom side boxing for refrigerator.y

My electrician finished up today. I'm glad I got a pro for that part of
the job.

I'm also replacing a sliding patio door with a double "french" patio
door, and I have to make some custom trim pieces for that job.

Later, I'll be building a masonry patio, probably of stone. If you were
brighter than a dimwit, I'd invite you over to watch and maybe carry
some hod.

What will you be doing this summer, John? Licking your golf balls?

I am so pleased and honored that today is a 'no pretend' day.

Went out on the boat today to see what the Rappahannock has to offer.
Croaker are biting very well on bloodworms. Didn't try to find any
stripers.

Do you think you'll get any lobsta's this year?

Yes, cutting trim pieces and shortening support pieces is *definitely*
table saw work. Funny, I've helped renovate two kitchens now, and the most
we ever used was a chop saw. Hope everything turned out OK!

No surprise you'd use a chop saw on your chop jobs. Three of my end
panels are eight feet tall. I'm sure you could chop your way to a
perfect cut with your inadequate tools.

Are you qualified to carry hod? You must have used some usable skill in
your army years, aside from drinking.

Harry, next time measure correctly when designing the kitchen. Then the
spacers will be the correct size.

JohnH,
I have to correct you on this one, Harry did not defend JimH's comment,
he just used it as an opportunity to attack the person Harry used to say
was one of the few first class gentlemen in rec.boats, one that he would
enjoy taking out on his boat any day of the week, and would like to meet
up when in Seattle.

The funny thing, Harry thought JimH, was lower than snail **** is now he
is his best buddy.

Ripley's believe it or not.

Harry chimed in on an 'attack Chuck' post. He, therefore, qualifies.

Snail **** is slower, but whale **** is lower.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

I may be a bit more sensitive to this for reasons I care not to
discuss........and I do find his comments proving him a bigot.

In the end............life goes on. ;-)
