If you want accurate information on global warming, there are far more accurate sources than Glenn Beck, or Al Gore, for that matter. The last time I looked, there wasn't any argument that global warming is occurring. It has been documented. The argument is in the causes, and whether man's activities can ameliorate it. I quite agree with you on that. However, when we quote organizations like Media Matters, we have to be careful. Not that they are dishonest, but they do have an agenda. The right-wing lunatic quotes attributed to Beck have appeared in any number of places, along with accompanying video and audio.- Hide quoted text - BTW, the daughter got Special recognition and Honorable Mention awards, as well as the Special Achievement for the Jr. Class. don't know what all that means, but she got three plaques and two certificates. And, the Netherlands will not be submerged in the next ten years, and animated polar bears will not become extinct, and glaciers will continue to calve, forming icebergs, whether or not they get filmed and presented as the greatest threat to mankind's continued existence. |
