Well it was a Toyota... :)

The tires they sell with those trucks are pathetic.

Damn straight.

I've got 10 ply rayon belted high pressure radial road tires on the
F-250 and I don't get stuck in anything on the launch ramp even
wihtout four wheel dirve..

Mine came with BFG off road crap tires. They were "interesting" in snow, so
they got replaced with Nokian WRs, which were amazing, but I wore them out.
The BFGs are back on the truck until winter, at which point, I'll spend some
real money on something decent again.

What brand (as long as we're apparently talking again after your recent
outburst)? :-)

The Toyos on my Taurus were terrific tires. I just keep forgetting that the
company exists, for no particular reason.

Have them on all my cars except for the 'Vette which has Eagles.

Greatest tires on the market.

No doubt, any or all of that can help on many ramps. But I've seen
slime on ramps slick enough to defeat any traction design or device
known to man. In those situations, it's best just to stay above the
slick stuff and it's such a simple thing to do.

I've seen that very same slime. Once, it invited me into the water up to my
chest while trying to help the boat onto the trailer. Now, the wallet comes
out of my pocket before I step onto a ramp. It's such a pain in the ass to
get a waterlogged pistol permit replaced in NY.
