One of my buddies has the same problem with his dual axle aluminum trailer. |

Front wheel drive on dry ground (4X4) would have been a help. An extendable trailer tongue would have been a bigger help. Does anybody here know whether that was fresh water or salt? Looked like a fresh water lake but I couldn't tell for sure. Rick |

Eisboch It's all funny till someone gets an eye poked out, or a kid smashed under the back wheels. Last year we were considering downgrading our vehicles for gas price reasons as we do a lot of driving. Did get rid of the 2x4 pickup but decided to keep the 4x4 anyway. I was considering downgrading to a Rav4 but once I started towing for the season I was glad I kept the bigger truck. To the video again, it is funny but it easily could have gone in a real bad way, fast for that kid on the front of the trailer. |

Rick That happened to me on flat ground (actually ice over 3 inches of very slippery mud). Put the Tacoma in low range - that began to help. Pushed the differential lock button - problem fixed. Never got as far as 4WD, but that was next. The tires they sell with those trucks are pathetic. |

I've got 10 ply rayon belted high pressure radial road tires on the F-250 and I don't get stuck in anything on the launch ramp even wihtout four wheel dirve.. |
