Rubbing alcohol

Or cement.

Wouldn't that scratch the surface?

Nah - that's only if you use steel wool covered in the cememt.

I hope others don't try what you suggest, I did, now I have swirls all
over
the screen.

Fill the little swirls in with concrete.

Concrete or cement?

Ah, enough of this....

Oh for pete's sake...

Just use a pumice stone. Or 00 sand paper.

You idiot, that is concrete.

I thought concrete was the aggregate mixed with the cememt using water
or other chemicals for various reasons?

You mean it's not?

You are correct, and that is why you don't want to rub it all over your
monitor.

90-whatever percent isopropyl alcohol. It's what's used to clean them when
they're manufactured.

That's what everything says *not* to use!

Maybe you're thinking of a CRT instead of an LCD monitor?

Well, I'm glad nothing broke, but seriously, everything I've seen says
*not* to use alcohol. The micro-fiber lens cloth with a couple drops of
water worked very well.

I believe if you read further you'll find that " infrequent" use of a 50-50%
solution of the iso-propyl alcohol and water is not a problem.
