Most have a connection so that a garden hose can be hooked to it to supply
cooling water. My yamaha uses a short adapter that is about 12" long and
has the fitting to hook to the ski on one end and a garden hose connector on
the other. It plugs in under the seat on mine. I would expect yours uses
something similar. Unlike outboards and i/os you can run most jetskis for a
couple minutes without water. They do not have rubber impeller pumps that
can melt. But the engine is water cooled so you can not run it more than a
minute or so without water.

We purchased one this year and it has a fitting like is discribed above.
We were told if you are going to run it on the hose to start the engine
before turning on the water. That applies to the Yamaha FX Cruiser HO.
Since your model is different, your procedure may vary. I would call the
local Yamaha shop to be sure.
