![]() "Harry Krause" wrote in message ... Thanks. I'm totally bored with our treadmill. I wanted to find an old fashioned wood and steel rowing machine, the kind they used to have at the "Y" when I was a kid. Separate wood oars. Don't like the new rowing machines much. I hear you on the treadmill. I started getting bored using it everyday and wanted to add another machine for cardiovascular workouts. I looked at rowing machines and stationary bicycles, but was advised by a knowledgeable trainer that neither did what an elliptical does in terms of a productive workout. The combination is working out good. I don't mind the treadmill because it's a break from the elliptical and visa-versa. Use weights for strength workouts. You don't need a big set of barbells ... you can get a set of the small, dumbells and design upper body workouts using them. BTW ... I also do 100 crunches a day on the ABS chair with a small, 8 lb handweight behind my neck. The results of all those Sam Adams come off slowly. Eisboch Eisboch |
