Leggo Racers, Polaris Snowcross, and Need for Speed have kept my grandkids occupied for many hours, and they *never* get on the internet. Toy r Us is a decent source for kids games on CDs. They'd probably appreciate a joystick too. You're not going to believe this .... but here's what Mrs.E. got for the grandkids to play with. She got it from some company that reconditions video arcade games. I built the little building in the garage to go along with the General Lee. I find they get bored with the same game if they're here for more than a few hours. When we were getting the Belarussian kid, I bought a used computer and rigged it so he could get on the internet and chat with his friends. He could download anything he wanted on that computer, but he couldn't touch mine. That worked quite well. He used that machine for three years, and when we stopped taking him for the summer, I just trashed the machine. |
