oups.com...

Tell your wife to quit going to the "free" game sites. There is
NOTHING free on the web! They are notorious for embedding trash in the
screensavers, and games, and harvest info from you. If she doesn't do
that stuff I apologize for making that assumption.

She doesn't, but she lets the grandkids "play" games on the computer when
they come over. Seven year olds seem to know all the free game sites, so
you likely have a good point and suggestion.

Some advice: Buy some games on CD's. Leggo Racers, Polaris Snowcross, and
Need for Speed have kept my grandkids occupied for many hours, and they
*never* get on the internet.

Toy r Us is a decent source for kids games on CDs. They'd probably
appreciate a joystick too.

You're not going to believe this .... but here's what Mrs.E. got for the
grandkids to play with. She got it from some company that reconditions
video arcade games. I built the little building in the garage to go along
with the General Lee. Look in the door.

Well, that oughta keep 'em off the damn internet! Holy smokes!

Does that thing have more than one game on it? I find they get bored with
the same game if they're here for more than a few hours. When we were
getting the Belarussian kid, I bought a used computer and rigged it so he
could get on the internet and chat with his friends. He could download
anything he wanted on that computer, but he couldn't touch mine. That
worked quite well. He used that machine for three years, and when we
stopped taking him for the summer, I just trashed the machine.

It has over 100 different games. They are on a CD or DVD type disk. You can
order more from the manufacturer, but we haven't.

I've never played the thing, other than initially setting it up.
