Sometimes all it takes is a polite question to the appropriate person to help you get through the BS. Good luck.. I recently tried to register an older trailer in Massachusetts with only a bill of sale. No VIN or previous title. Went to the RMV and was told no way on the home built route, no way without the previous title. I came home and handed the paperwork to my 19 year old daughter. She was back with the plate in less than an hour. Steve P. |

Amazing what a giggle, a wiggle, a wink and smile might accomplish if there's a young male title clerk on duty. :-) |

In 40 years of owning and registering automobiles here, I don't think I have *ever* seen a male title clerk working at the MA Registry of Motor Vechicles.
