When one participates in a group called "rec.boats" the direction of
the group is predefined. Of course nobody owns the group. Some people
are free to post as much ridiculous, OT, inflammatory and personal
attack nonsense here as they want to- and others are free to comment
that it might be inappropriate to do so.

If appeals to remain on-topic make some individual posters
uncomfortable, so be it.
