Default 1994 3.0l Mercruiser no spark, wont start

Boat quit, I replaced the coil then started at least 5 times, now no
spark again, just turns over, could it be the purple wiee not supplying
12V........help

I will check tonight, thanks for the advice, do you know if the ign
switch may be cutting out with power and is the stall switch where the
lanyard is?

I will check tonight, thanks for the advice, do you know if the ign
switch may be cutting out with power and is the stall switch where the
lanyard is?

Default 1994 3.0l Mercruiser no spark, wont start

Merc shifters work by briefly cutting the ignition when you take them
out of gear. This releases the pressure on the input shaft allowing
the gears to come apart. It's a real rube goldburg but it works. The
interrupt switch is located on a plate wher the shift cable connects to
the smaller cable going out to the outdrive. Usually bolted to the
side of the engine or somewhere in the vicinity of the transom near the
outdrive. When out of adjustment they can affect the ignition.
Adjusting them is a real pain and you really need to follow the manual.
