Default please, advise what kind of boat should I look for...

I am new to boats fishing, etc, etc,
Couple of weeks ago I tried to fish from the pier in Santa Barbara.
It was very simple and very effective.
Just having a line and one hook, I was able to catch about 10 macrels.
We have cleaned them, fried and ate. Was real great.

I live in San Diego but have never tried to do sam thing here.
What I want is to buy a simple boat. Could be even without the motor.
Just a row boat.
I have a truck. Small Toyota Tacoma. Is it possible to have a boat
that I can load and unload myself on my truck and bring it to shore and
go fishing? Can it be done from kayak?

What kind of boat should it be?
Can I buy old and cheap one?

Where I should start. Any help is greatly appreciated.
