Do you have some ulterior motive for sustaining this?

He wants to be a constant pimple on my ass and is doing a good job of it.

I cannot recall him ever posting something boating related that was
accurate, nor have I ever read posts from him talking about his boat.

He is a non boater who comes here to cause problems. That has been true
from day 1.

Yes, well, I pointed this out a long, long time ago.

He seems to have different targets depending on his mood. I recall you and
Bassy being his targets for several years.

My comments makes sense, and you have supported this from JohnH's first
post when you tried to "pressu" him not to promote his "team" Race

already gotten $3000 give it up already?

That sounds like someone whose only objective is to harass JohnH, and
really doesn't care about the cause. "

I responded:

Yes Reggie, I have not supported John and the cause:

We've reached $4000 in donations on the Racing for Renee website. That is
unreal!

I'm especially appreciative of you folks. Seventeen rec.boaters have
donated a total of $825, for an average donation of $48.53. Remarkable!

Thank you so much for your compassion and generosity.

You can see for yourself (and donate if you wish) at:

Again, THANKS!!

Good. I'm glad that people you consider "friends" here, even if online
only, have come around in a time of need.

That sounds a bit negative and John never used the word "friends".

The bottom line is that he has set a realistic goal and there are
enough
people here to hit that number without missing a meal.

Dan

Come on folks.

Does John consider only those who contribute to *his* cause as friends,
even
though others contribute to the same cause in a general way (it all goes
to
the same basic fund) and have done so for the past 20 years?? I don't
think
so.

For us..........we have been (substantial) contributors to this cause for
the past 20 or so years. Most importantly we have had personal
experiences
in the recent past with breast cancer.

As I said earlier to John, our thoughts and prayers are with his
daughter......perhaps the most important thing when you think about it.

With that said.......please keep the contributions and prayers coming for
John's daughter. I know that the emotions and pain that he, his wife
and
daughter are going through cannot be accurately described in words to
those
who have not gone through it. Yet I do know that spiritual support (as
well
as monetary for the breast cancer research) is appreciated.

I hope I did not speak out of line John. I was only trying to provide
some
additional support for a friend. ;-)

Please note that any contributions are not 'for John's daughter'.

Friendship and contributions have nothing to do with each other as far as
I'm concerned. There are some pretty staunch Liberals, and some pretty
staunch Conservatives in this group who've contributed to the foundation.
I
didn't understand your comment either, but I certainly wanted nothing
negative in the thread.

Hopefully, even 'non-friends' are reading this thread. If so, I'll give
them a chance to get even for any offenses I've committed...

I'll match (on a $1 for $2 basis), up to the amount of the goal, any
donations made to the foundation through this web site by anyone from this
time until the cut-off for team donations, which is 1 May! So, if you
donate $20, that'll cost me another $10! If the group donates $3500 and
hits the goal, it'll cost me $1750.

Go for it!

Oh hell with it! I'll match (dollar for dollar) up to the goal! Now you
could put me out $3676! (But don't spread it around!) All the other
provisions apply!

Our daughter is running in the Race for the Cure on May 20th in Columbus,
Ohio and has done so for the past 7 years. We have also been making
donations to the Susan Komen fund for the past 20 or so years. I assume all
donations for breast cancer research are funneled to that fund

I am sorry to hear about your daughter John and hope that she conquers this
disease. But please do not assume that folks are not supporting the funding
of the research because they have not responding to your request.

My prayers are with your daughter.

So how is that imaginary boat of yours doing Reggie? Care to share
some pics? ;-)

Hehe!! I KNEW that was coming, as soon as you realize what a fool
you've made of yourself, you go to that sentence.

Harry,
I really do have an ulterior motive for sustaining this. JohnH did a
great job supporting a cause he believed in. Someone continues to make
false allegations about his efforts, and I don't believe those
allegations should go unaswered.

If you review these posts, it is JimH who is sustaining this.

JimH,
If you look at this thread, the only comments I have made is to
discredit your allegations you have directed towards JohnH. It would
appear you need to look in the mirror before you discuss anyone who is
here to cause problems.

Yup. Gotta let this one die, but it was starting to get comical.

Oh, yes, it is funny as hell! Look below, his usual M.O. where he goes
back to the *let's see a picture of your boat* after he's screwed up

Really? I know damned well how my brakes on my vehicles are configured.

Me too, backwards.

Uh, no.....

Some proof for you. (from a Jeep site)

"Remember that the primary shoe ( the one with less friction material ) is
mounted toward the front of the car"

Oh, I see what you're thinking You somehow have the notion that the
primary is always in front??? I get it now The primary isn't always in
front. It can be in back, it's just where the primary actuating springs
are.

Hey, Jim, if you are so intent on turning every off topic to on topic
by your pet sentence, why do you post off topic at all? And I see you
are still a childish ass and insist on calling me someone I'm not. Do
you realize that the tone and of this group has changed dramatically,
and that you are single handedly the one who continues to flame,
insult, provoke and constantly try to stir ****? Everyone here knows
it, so your statement that you're trying to get the group back on topic
is absurd. Grow up.
