You were wanting to buy a new engine this season
wrote in message ups.com... I just found out today after pulling my boat out for the first time this year that the engine block is cracked due to freezing over last winter. Dumb me. What I don't get is why the freeze plugs didn't blow. Check out: http://www.nelles.com/boat/crack.jpg. I'll be checking with a Volvo Penta dealership Monday but thought I'd pass this on to this group for comments. Can it be welded? Thanks in advance for any valueable input provided. |

Thanks all for the comments. Service center of course said the same
thing. I'll be replacing the motor. Done in 2 weeks. $4,000 deep. Needless to say this ex- SoCal. boy will be learning how to winterize from now on. |
