![]() "C.West" wrote in message . .. I'm contemplating adding a trolling motor to my Bayliner model 1954. I can't decide which to use between a 4-cycle kicker (5 HP) or a electric bow mounted minn kota. Any thoughts??? Boat weighs approx 2000lbs, use is mostly inland lakes. Thanks for cogent comments!! -- If ye love wealth better than liberty ... servitude better than ... freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsel or your arms ... May your chains set lightly upon you. May posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams Minn Kota bow mount. Much more versatile. If you get the Auto Pilot, you can steer from anywhere in the boat, and is good for fishing along and amoung structure. Plus it trolls well for trout and walleye and lake salmon. Probably a better trolling motor regards speed than an outboard. Probably the same total weight with 2 batteries but is placed better in a 19' boat. |
