I have recently purchased a 98 Sugar Sand Tango with the Mercury 175.
While test driving the boat there was no warining buzzer, but on my first time out I noticed an intermitten warining buzzer. The buzzer was sounding when I started the boat, but went away when I got underway. While moving, the buzzer would sound if I would cruise at the same speed for a while (about 5 mins or more), but go away if I increased or decreased speed. I have been researching this and I think it might be related to oil injection? Having just purchased this boat, I am not sure what the warining buzzers mean. I plan on pre-mixing some gas for this weekend, and then getting it checked out. Am I crazy? Any suggestions? Thanks, |
