Warining Buzzer on Merc 175

I have recently purchased a 98 Sugar Sand Tango with the Mercury 175.
While test driving the boat there was no warining buzzer, but on my
first time out I noticed an intermitten warining buzzer.

The buzzer was sounding when I started the boat, but went away when I
got underway. While moving, the buzzer would sound if I would cruise
at the same speed for a while (about 5 mins or more), but go away if I
increased or decreased speed. I have been researching this and I
think it might be related to oil injection? Having just purchased
this boat, I am not sure what the warining buzzers mean.

I plan on pre-mixing some gas for this weekend, and then getting it
checked out. Am I crazy?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Lucas,
if you drive the motor before you know whats wrong you won't know what is
gona happen. Maybe nothing will happen, maybe you'll get stuck somewhere on
the water, maybe you'll damage the motor. Those motors cost thousands to
replace, if money is important to you I suggest wait, get it checked out and
go boating next week.
