I'm still operating under what may be an old wive's tale, that pressure
washers permeate the gel coat and soak the fiberglass underneath. I
don't know if that is true, but it has kept me from ever using a
pressure washer on any boat.


I do use a brush with a four foot handle. It's perfect for most of the
boat except the little nooks & crannies around the companionway hatch
cover & the handholds on the coachtop. Smithers scum would be an
emergency case and might require drastic measures.
