From the news reports when the levee was repaired with sandbags they started pumping water from within the levee area into lake Pons.... (spelling?). That water was contaminated with sewage, dead bodies, chemicals from flooded housing and businesses, gasoline from autos, and I suppose oil also from cars. There was some discussion by the television 'experts' of this water needing to be removed in tanker trucks for 'decontamination'. |
