I saw one out there in the yard where my boat was and I looked at it pretty closely. I couldn't tell the difference in the keel. I was told that the molds were different, but I don't know for sure and details seem to vary with retelling. Before I left, I talked to a couple of people about it and apparently there is a difference - I can't tell what it is. There is also a slight difference in weight - the Halman is heavier than the Nordic by 120 pounds or something like that. Could be the forefoot now that I think about it - the Halman's may be a little less fine than the Nordic, but I don't have one here to look at. They are fun little boats. Where are you planning to sail her? Narragansett Bay will be it's primary sail area - you can't get in that much trouble in Narragansett Bay. :) Tom...does your keel resemble the one in the drawing (on the right)? http://www.nordicaboats.com/html/nordica-20.html |
