No I'm not. With the *possible* exception of having a base for troops there,
there is NO reason which has made sense. Not one. "Juan Valdez" wrote in message ... Doug, You mind me of the people who look at ancient artifacts they don't understand and say "This is proof that ancient civilization were visited by space aliens" You are ignoring many other more viable reasons for invading Iraq. You may not agree with his reasons, but the least likely reasons, is Bush was trying to personally profit from the war and/or it meet a sexual fantasy of his. But.....none of his reasons have panned out, or even held a drop of water. That leaves only perversion and twisted beliefs. |

OK. Which of Rove's reasons made sense to you?

Doug,
I believe that Bush, like every democratic and republican politician for the last 5 years believed that Saddam was stock piling WMD and was allowing terrorists to have training camps in his country. Can you name one politician, including Clinton and Kerry who did not believe Saddam was stock piling WMD and using his country to harbor terrorists? There are two possible alternatives for this incorrect belief. One - The WMD were shipped to another country before the invasion or Two The intelligence was incorrect. The head of the CIA was a Clinton appointee, not someone who was feeding Bush the info he wanted to hear. He was giving Bush the same info he had provided Clinton and the Congressional Intelligence Committee for more than 5 years. Now doesn't that make much more sense than Bush has a sexual fantasy about invading Iraq? "Doug Kanter" wrote in message ... OK. Which of Rove's reasons made sense to you? A new boss steps in, and tells various government employees how they're expected to operate. They may as well be different employees. This is no different than any major corporation with a new CEO. Now doesn't that make much more sense than Bush has a sexual fantasy about invading Iraq? My diagnosis stands. |

Doug,
So when the CIA chief was telling Clinton and the Intelligence Committee that Saddam was amassing WMD and allowing terrorist to set up training bases and providing financial assistance to the terrorist it was because that is what Clinton wanted to hear. Doug, you may believe your diagnose is correct, but I doubt if any political pundits or medical doctors would agree with you. It sounds like the "alien story" to me, and you are not going to allow facts to influence your diagnoses. That is OK, you are not the only one who has illogical beliefs. Sometimes doctors are able to help control illogical thoughts. "Doug Kanter" wrote in message ...
