You can then store them unrefrigerated. I haven't tried it, but the article I read says the salt-cured shrimp stay on the hook much better than the frozen stuff, stores easier, and works just as well for tipping jigs. Ever tried a D.O.A. shrimp? DOA shrimp in "glow" color catches just about anything in SW Florida...except when the bait fish are plentiful in the late spring, summer, and early fall , and the fish have a better selection of food sources. I've tried the other colors without any luck. You can buy a 48-pack direct from DOA on their website. However, it's a variety pack of different colors. They'll do all one color, but you have to call them on the phone and request it. |

I have to say...I couldn't have asked for a better reply to my post however. He sometimes diverts course a bit, and I expected a mild rebuke in this case. But "who woulda thunk it" that he'd do a complete 180!?!? If you *had* included that time limitation in your troll, you would've snared YOURSELF. You understand why, right? No. If yes, explain why. Since the answer is "no", *you* must explain why. Here's my original post, with the 100-year caveat added: "The Arab nations hated us before Bush, and hate us even more now. **** 'em. What have they contributed to society (in the last 100 years) except for oil...which we helped them discover?" Some interesting characters, mainly, and even a few worthy ones. |

I'm not wild about the Hassassin, however. John H Do you love Algebra as much as you love seeing pictures of little girls "in the Biblical sense"? |

Not surprising. Harry, you are becomming a whinny little bitch. You want to come over here and try to do something about it, **** for brains? What would you have him do about it, Harry? Go back and read all your posts for the last two months, and perhaps you'll understand his comment. Your posts are becoming quite "whiny". Maybe if you backed off the name-calling and flip-flopping you'd get some of the respect you obviously think you deserve. Maybe someone besides b'asskisser would consider holding a discussion with you. BTW, we were using both blood worms and shrimp. The blood worms were untouched. Please note that your *threat* above appears to be a cut and paste of something b'asskisser has posted. John H Yes, I'd certainly threaten YOU John. Why? Because I have a dislike for potential child molesters. Do you remember hoping to see pictures of little girls "in the Biblical sense"? |

No, far worse levels have been heard of in Europe and in America. Look up what happened to the Huegonots in France. Over 10,000 slaughtered in one day. Nearest Arab was 1000 miles away. Like I need another reason to hate the French... Yes, your blind, ignorant hatred DOES span the globe. |

Gould has already told you about significant contributions by Arabs. I must add, though how ignorant you've proven yourself. They even invented the numbering and math systems you use today. I was really surprised by your above comment. I didn't know you were THAT dumb. I'd like to add one, the Baghdad Battery. It's a simple voltic pile battery, but, alas, it was made over 2000 years ago!!! Relax, basshole. My statement already accomplished what it set out to accomplish in the first place. And that would be...exposing Harry as the lying hypocrite that he is. Here's what he said in April 2002: "The reality is that for at least the last 100 years, the so-called Arab states have contributed absolutely nothing to the furthering of society in any field of endeavor and the only reason anyone tolerates their anti-social behavior is because they happen to be sitting on oil. If it weren't for their oil, no one would pay them the slightest attention. Their contributions to the fields of medicine, other sciences, the arts, socialization, you name it and there is nothing there. Oh...I forgot...they're adept at cowardice, at furthering the methodology of terrorism and waging war on non-combatants." ---------------------------------------------------- You guys are so predictable...but it's still fun playing with you. I don't much like using frozen shrimp as bait. It disintegrates and falls off the hook too fast. I read where you can "salt-cure" the shrimp after they die and it toughens them up. Love to see that article on the salt cure for shrimp.... Thanks. I still subscribe to FS, which I consider the best fishing mag in the known universe. I even have a vague memory of the article you are mentioning. Aren't there more degrees per capita on college campuses? Aren't there also more liberals per capita on college campuses? The article I was referencing was one I had mentioned back in January. I haven't been able to find the specific article, but it talked about how women have a tendency to vote for a Democrat when they achieve higher levels of education...and men's voting habits go in the exact opposite direction (they tend to vote for Republicans). The story was from a more liberal news outlet from what I can remember, and was trying to make the point that the Democratic base should grow faster than the Republican base since: a) there are more women than men, and b) women are attaining higher levels of education than in the past. It is true what you say about post-grads having a slightly higher tendency to vote Democratic. That discrepancy is higher among women and lower among men. However, people "with some college", and people "with a college degree", vote overwhelmingly for Republicans. People with "less than a high school degree" vote overwhelmingly for Democrats. People "with a high school degree" are pretty evenly split. |
